Southend United Childrens Tournament 2012
This is our inaugural event at Southend United FC and we are sure it will become established as an annual event in the Roots Hall calendar.
Our events provide young players with the thrilling and rare opportunity to play at top class venues and imagine what it must be like to be professional footballer on matchday playing in front of thousands of fans.
This will be a dream-come-true football "experience" like no other which is sure to be the fondly remembered for years to come. Clubs have said how there is a feelgood factor within the club from the moment the players are told they will be playing in a stadium at the end of the season.

Thanks for the most fantastic day for the Boys they were treated to a day of how a superstar feels and they loved every minute of it, the tunnel they came out of, the playing on the actual turf, the whole sense of occasion was fantastic.

After a poor start we managed to sneak through all the way to the 2nd tier final but lost on penalties. My wife e-mailed me today and said my son was crying this morning and didn't want to go to school and wanted to go back to the tournament. That proves he had a fantastic day.
